FANTASTIC SHIMMIES
combining, layering and mixing all the varied side hip techniques in Single, Double, 3/4 and Full Time Shimmies. They are alternated with Hip Drops and Hip Lifts, Hip Rotation and Hip Twists, Figure Eights, Pelvic Circles, Hip Points, Undulations and Shoulder Rolls. Most arm techniques have been included.
HIP POINTS

HIP DROPS and LIFTS- are upgraded into Double Time
Both FIGURE EIGHTS, inside and outside - are also upgraded into Double Time
RIB SLIDES and RIB CIRCLES are danced in Double Time with some arm techniques.
PELVIC CIRCLE - are fluently danced, small and tight to accommodate the faster tempo.
UNDULATIONS are isolated and alternated with hip techniques to suit the music.
HIP TWIST
the Hip Twist has extra practice and moves into a much faster interpretation and is added, or layered into the Centre Steps or Arabic Steps.
HIP ROTATION & FIGURE EIGHT - at double and Full time are layered into the Shimmies.
SHOULDERS & ARMS
Shoulder Rolls, Floating Reeds and Snake Arms are developed into a suitable pace to compliment some faster rhythms and hip movements. Other Arm techniques are danced at a slower and steadier pace compared to the faster tempo of the hips.
HEAD & FEET
oncentrate in complimenting techniques, introducing new elements and concepts to highlight the expressive music.
THE BODY
the whole body moves at a faster rate in appropriate sections of the music. Alternating from fast to slower speed as the music rythm requires.
WARMING UP
However the worming up section, at the beginning, is in slow to medium tempo only.
CENTRE STEPS
Continuing from vol 2. These steps are sometimes called Arabic Steps. They are a sequent of simple steps that will help you to gain agility. These steps very common to all styles of belly dance. Volume 4 introduces a hip twist and side hips to them, making them more varied and interesting, which are danced at a faster pace. Also a 3/4 change over is introduced, to alternate from Right to Left.

will greatly enhance the flexibility of your neck, ribs, shoulders, hips
and spine.
SNAKING
THE BODY
combining a few techniques to achieve a fascinating snake like movement. The techniques have been taught in volume 1.2 and 3. In volume 4 they are layered and combined to form Snaking the Body, including interesting arm gestures.
HEAR & FEEL THE MUSIC . PART 2
Recognising the feelings and emotions that certain instruments evoke. Alternating from beat to melody. Allowing your emotions to flow. How and when to smile. Adding interest and building character. Fantastic Shimmies are also incorporated in this section. Including practice dances and choreographed dances.
Volume 4 is also suitable for more advanced beginners. Fantastic Shimmies and Hear & Feel the Music (part 2) are a must for progressive learning for the budding and ambitious dancer. Volume 4 can be used separately if a student already attends outside classes and would like to practice to, learn more, combine, layer , isolate, alternate and smoothly transit from one technique to another in Double or Full time, Shimmy Tempos. Not forgetting to add the emotional side to her own style with an artistic flare, elegance and good dancing attitude.
